Q: @Fruit of the Loom
Total: 7
Conditions: How was the morning? It was a relatively comfy morning for this time of year in Florida. Muggy, but not too hot
Warm-Up:
10 3rd Grade Exercises
followed by a Slaughter starter of 20 burpees, plus 1, because that’s how we roll.
The Thang:
I’m going to be a little vague on the work because Crablegs told me he wanted to steal this workout, and I want the next group to go in fresh. But I will say that a heavy weight was carried as a 2 person team while the rest chased after.
Once everybody had a turn, the Q noticed that legs were just way to fresh, so we did a round a wall sits at the field house while each pax ran around the building.
Following that we did another round of chase the weight with 1 man instead of 2.
after the second round we had 10 minutes left so each pax led us in 30 reps of an exercises of their choosing. SSH’s, Split Squats on the wall, Twinkle Toes, Big Boys, Fire Hydrants, Crunchy Frogs (on the wall) and more wall sits.
Fin.

Q referenced Revelation 3:15-17
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
So often in a workout it’s easy to be lukewarm. To ride the middle of the pack and feel like you don’t have to strive to be better, because there is still someone behind you. But, the middle mindset is the worst one to have because as verse 17 above states, that’s the spot where you feel comfortable while being completely ignorant of what you really need.
This applies in our lives too, not just F3 workouts. It’s easy to be complacent and not strive to do better, especially when things are going well, but that’s not how we get better.
I Timothy 6:6 states
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
If you’ve got both of those things, you’re hot. You’re riding in a great relationship with your creator and living in that joy (rather than happiness https://f3nation.com/contentment-q3-11/) zone. It’s obvious if you have neither godliness or contentment, that you’re cold, but what if you’ve got contentment but no Godliness, or Godliness, but no contentment? At that point you’re riding firmly in the middle. An outward mascot of what people expect you to be, but unfulfilled in all the ways that really matter.
You may feel that you’re cold, but that coldness is a good feeling because it prompts action. Do something to warm up, but don’t be complacent when you reach that lukewarm middle, continue to strive, continue to reach, try to be a Hot Guy (not to be confused with Hawkeye).
