Back to Basics – Old School Gloom
After not posting for 2 weeks due to a mix of travel, holidays and laziness, I had the itch to take it back to the basics with an old school Meadows beatdown. While the original plan was to visit 'the Hill' at that back of the fields, ManGuy did some early reconnaissance which forced a quick audible to the freshly cut hill on the west side of complex. We should refer to this 'hill' as the 'mountain' going forward, as it's twice as steep and has a greater distance, but it was a solid traverse. The weather was perfect with a few rain showers along the way to wash away the mud!
The ‘puppy’ kept me up all night . . .
6 men arrived after a 300 burpee marathon from Balboa to work out the soreness, and get stronger. Those who slept in know who you are. . .
The Hill will humble you . . .
8 men arrived in the 'true' gloom of the Meadows for a Friday Fun-Day led by Dimples. I've been hit or miss for the past few months so it was humbling to lead such a great group of guys this morning. ManGuy let me know last night he was bringing 5 gallon buckets, so I worked those into the Q as best I could.
