The Thang:
Originally I wanted to do 110 stair climbs, but I think we would run out of time. I came up with a truncated version.
We grabbed our rucks and a 20# and 50# sandbag shared amongst the group to the staircases in the shopping center. The following trivia questions about 9/11/01. Q could not exactly remember the multiple choices after reciting them the first time.
Who was the United States president during the 9/11 attacks? George W. Bush
Which radical terrorist group was responsible for the 9/11 attacks? Al-Qaeda
How many stories are there in total between the two Twin Towers? 220
How many people were killed on September 11, 2001? 2,977
How many terrorists were killed on September 11, 2001? 19
How many first responders were killed on September 11, 2001? 441(23 NYPD, 343 fire, 37 Port Authority Police, 3 EMS)
Two planes flew into the Twin Towers. One plane few into the Pentagon. There was a fourth plane that was headed towards Washington DC. Where did this end up landing? Shanksville, PA
What time was the North Tower attacked? 0846
What time was the South Tower attacked? 0903
What time was the Pentagon attacked? 0937
How many days did it take to put out the fires ignited by 9/11? 100
How many minutes did it take to destroy both towers from first impact to final collapse? 102
For every incorrect answer, there were 5 stair climbs (up and down) along with 1 lap around the upper level of the shopping complex. That is 9/12 correct which is 75% (C). PAX got three answers incorrect. 15 stair climbs followed by 3 laps around the upper level were performed.
We did not have much time remaining to do the hills. We ventured over to Timberlane Road and went down that hill. There is a hill going upwards that has a straight sidewalk that can be used to do hill work in the future.
We returned back to the flag and rucked in total about 2 miles. The stair climbs do not gain much distance with the amount of steps taken.
COT:
Remember that this year will be the 20th anniversary of 9/11/01. Hard to believe that it has already been 20 years. It feels like yesterday to many who lost loved one and were directly impacted by the tragedy.

Visa is heading to NYC for the 9/11 Tough (and possibly the Basic)
Doc T will be doing a combo HTB over two weekends in NYC, DC, and Shanksville. Ask him for the exact details and organization of that endeavor.
For those staying in Tallahassee, that weekend Little Debbie will be organizing the Travis Manion 5K. Hopefully, we can incorporate some stair climbing at the Capitol.
