“The Sandbag Train”

QIC:  Wiseguy

PAX: Trash Panda, Recount, Grillz, Crab Legs, Cathy, Little Debbie, Ron Swanson

The Thang:

The PAX chained 6 Sandy’s together. Many of the PAX are aware of the life hack to chain them as long as possible. We made our way to the benches for the first evolution. The only instruction was to go over the benches with the sandbags as well as the final gate. Unfortunately, we had to tend to an injury on a misstep from Little Debbie. Thankfully, he was able to get right back up and continue onward.

We made to the shopping center with the tetris blocks. This time, we did not touch the tetris blocks. My whole goal was to get them to drop the sandbag because of a lack of coordination as a team. We tried going carefully up the steps with the chained sandbags. The PAX did not have much trouble with that.

I tried my hand at some PT with some overhead presses and squats. I even got them to spread out a little bit just to make it slightly harder. When they are too close to each other and the chains are long, it makes it too easy. However, they did fine with that. We did a lap around the complex and gauged how long that would take. It took about 2:40. My challenge was to beat 2:20 on the next lap. Unfortunately, they took 2:30 on the second lap. There was a PT penalty of sandbag shoulder overs.

We ventured a construction area where I thought there was a wall that we could traverse. Unfortunately, we would be trespassing so I had to scratch that idea. We continued to ruck through the area so that I figure out what else to do. However, there was a drop in the sandbag chain which will cost the team at the end.

We ended up back at Gilchrist Elementary in the field in front of the school. We did a 15 ruck burpee penalty to start off before the next activity. Then the sandbags were all out in a line and the object was to bear crawl them across the field. This was harder than it sounded.

COT:

I only carried a sandbag maybe for a couple of minutes. The PAX did not want me to carry the sandbags as I was semi-playing a Cadre role. It is hard to do both at the same time, because you have to pay attention to many things. I am working on that part in preparation for my first event as Cadre at Eastern Fleet.

Little Debbie’s 12 Days of Cindy is tomorrow at Southwood at 0700 (IN CASE YOU WERE NOT INFORMED.)

The next CSAUP will be on January 15 starting at 1800 at Meadows. Stay tuned for more details.

We are sad to see Recount leave us in early 2022. Thankfully, Charlotte has no shortage of F3. Recount got his bounty prize for winning the 2021 Poker Tournament of Champions and also got a nice parting gift from me to help him make his trip seamless 😉

Prayers that everyone’s 2021 ends on a good note. We have much to look forward to in 2022.

Prayer (Crab Legs)
