“Operation: Get Right”
QIC: Wiseguy
PAX: Square Root, Mensa, Oregon Trail, Carbon Copy, Big Gulp, Willie, Pineapple, Houdini, Angus, Game Boy, Slowhand
Flashback: We gathered around the flag to do Lord’s Prayer
For the next series of my Qs, I will be reviewing “practical applications of exercise.” The “why” of why every man should be fit. Last Friday at Meadows, I made the buddy drag exercise too complicated. The purpose is to break basic exercises down and witness how they apply to real life situations.
Warm-up on the track
Air squat demonstration at wolf statue
Review of buddy drag and how the squat applies on practice football field
Introduction to fireman carry
Rescue mission exercises
Start with one PAX
Using any technique, the first PAX rescues one other by bringing them safety (20 m)
Once that PAX is brought to safety, he is revived and can help the first PAX get everyone else
Cycle continues until everyone is brought to safety
Brief introduction to firearm carry from the victim in lying position (without victim help)
