Q: Crab Legs and Hawkeye
Warm up and Name-o-rama
Split into 2 groups.. Hawkeye took the long-distance folks for a 6.5 mile run through the woods. The rest of us took a 2 mile jaunt through the power line clearance.
Not sure what the runners did. Here is what the rest of us did:
Run for a bit, stop and warm up the shoulders with a few minutes of hand claps, overhead press, and arm circles
Run a bit more, stop and do some relay races with work in between. Threw in an ab circle here as well.
Here is where I made a bad choice… Instead of paying attention to the time and distance, we headed further into the woods. Eventually stopped and did some burpees, merkins, and tick collecting. Headed back to the flag.
COT: James 1:26 – Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceives themselves, and their religion is worthless…. I read this verse as something that has been challenging for me lately. Not only what I say to others, but what I think about others, what I say to myself, etc. Words matter. We are either building people up or neglecting their growth. I need to be a man who exhibits a soundness of speech in all I do.
Prayers answered for Angus’ wife, apparently he gave her food poisoning and she is improving. Room temp potato salad and gas station sushi apparently don’t make for a romantic dinner. Also, Minnow mentioned that Rocket Man’s father needs prayers for some health stuff going on.
