A smaller group than normal as we had a large group of misfits grazing at Waffle House.
Warmup: nonstop side-straddle hops while I talk about the following verse.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10. “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. “
We should be grateful for knowing that we can expect at least one person (a Q) to be at a designated location every week. There will be at least one person who can talk and listen to you, not just workout with you. This brings up the importance of the 2nd F in F3. There are too many sad clowns in this world who feign companionship through the veil of a keyboard or an Instagram profile.
The Thang:
As an entire group:
40 minutes AMRAP
10 burpees
1 x 200 m lap around the track
Goal: I set the goal as 18 per PAX = 180 sets (or 1800 burpees, 36k run)
I wore a 45# ruck. A 30# ruck and a 180# SB (allegedly) was thrown into the mix amongst the other PAX.
If you surpassed 18 sets, you keep going to pick up the 6. The focus should have been to make sure that the team was able to accomplish the goal as opposed to the individual reaching 18 sets or not.

I have been managing many financial decisions lately. I have seen too many people use money and possessions as false idols which, in the long run, do not bring much happiness and can grow obsessions. I could not be more grateful to be in the situation that I am in right now. I work hard to give back in various forms of service which is much more fulfilling than living in comfort with every luxury we have.
