11 men actually showed up in the very gloomy weather – raining and 52 degrees. A field trip with light affliction (small bricks) was in order to build us up as men. It was awesome to welcome Noonan back after an extended sabbatical. It was also great to welcome FNG Orion for his first post.

QIC thanked the men for supporting him as he tried something new with the bricks, especially in the gloomy weather. He was especially happy no one broke the bricks, not only because it would have resulted in a burpees penalty, but mostly because they are extra bricks from his house and the wife would be somewhat upset.
He read the following bible verse when Paul was preaching to the Corinthians:
2 Corinthians, 4:17
For this momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.
The inspiration for the small bricks was the light afflictions that we all deal with. They are momentary light afflictions compared to the eternal glory of God’s kingdom.
QIC finished with that famous quote from pro quarterback Shane Falco:

Mickey didn’t know it was raining until he was in route (and it’s a good thing).
Sleepy is not as awake as he was at the REM tribute band concert.
Snookie wondered why FNG Orion didn’t have to do 300 burpees on his first post like he did.
Monty was enjoying the English-style gloom weather.
Swanson has been diving into the Q-Source and finally figured out the significance of 43. If you want to know, ask him. Just so Singlet knows, Swanson did remind us that we have our first win of the day.
Noonan coaches 18 – 20 year olds and frequently tells them to surround themselves with good people. So he thought it was time to come back to F3 and act that out.
Wham-o still hasn’t figured out that we don’t ask for more reps at the Villages AO.
LD thought Noonan was going to say he shouldn’t hang out with us.
