19 men met up in the 94% humidity gloom to take on the Iron Pax Challenge Week 0 – Capoot. Some men wore red to Remember Everyone Deployed and were grateful to run and push-up to honor Officer Capoot. We knew something was special about this morning when G-mo rode up early with Dirty Mike and they were 5 minutes early. It was great to welcome Kimchi who evacuated from the New Orleans area due to Hurricane Ida.

It was awesome to see all 19 men complete the challenge in under 47:15. Congratulations to our Week 0 champion, Ron Swanson who finished in a blistering 29:54. Five men completed the challenge in under 40 minutes – TCLAPS to Geronimo, Grillz, Dirty Mike, El Jefe, and Singlet.
QIC shared the below obituary of Officer Capoot. Also, after hearing there are now 47 deaths due to Hurricane Ida, how fortunate we are to be able to come out and run 3.5 miles in the gloom.
Dedicated to officer James Lowell Capoot, of the Vallejo Police Department, who died Nov. 17, 2011, in the line of duty while chasing after an armed man suspected of robbing a bank. The 45-year-old, who lived in Vacaville, California, joined the Vallejo Police Department in 1993 and served as a motorcycle officer, motorcycle instructor, driving instructor and SWAT officer. He received two medals of courage, including one life-saving medal, as well as many other department commendations. Capoot is survived by his wife, Jennifer; three daughters, Jillian, Jamie and Justine; and several other family members.
Visa has the Cascades Q on Saturday
Mr. Kotter is leading the inaugural F3 Family Day at Southwood at 0900 on Saturday.
Little Debbie is leading a 13-mile Marine Memorial Ruck on Sunday at 0600 in honor of the 13 fallen soldiers in Kabul.
Wiseguy is leading a Labor Day Convergence at Tom Brown at 0700.
El Jefe has the Southwood Q on Tuesday.
AOL has the Southwood Q on Friday for IPC Week 1.
Kotter will be hosting F3 Family Day on the 1st Saturday and 3rd Thursday or each month.
Kimji is happy to be in Tallahassee with his 4 daughters.

As part of his prep for the 9/11 20th anniversary, he is listening to the The Only Plane in the Sky, An Oral History of 9/11 audiobook by Garrett M. Graff.
He also shared that his friend and FSU graduate, Joe Feheley, will be piloting one of the F-16’s for Sunday’s FSU game flyover.

In his old age, Visa lost track of his laps, and ran an extra one. Good think that F3 Greenwood will give him extra credit.

LD announced the 9/11 convergence ruck at 0900 at Cascades.
Amelia killed it today on a hurt ankle.
G-mo appreciated the lift from Dirty Mike – they didn’t know what to do with themselves for the 5 minutes before the work started. G-mo also shared that he is going to the UF game this weekend, but while football and all the material things are important, nothing compares to with Jesus Christ does for you.
Grillz pointed out that the first 15 of 20 IPC sign-ups were from Southwood.
He is headed to Washington DC soon for an HTL with Wiseguy.
Polo said the hardest thing was showing up.
Singlet has 8-in laws in town and will be going to every F3 event and making up more to get out of the house.
Rocks is heading to the ATL.
Breezy completed his first post at Southwood.
Swanson reminded us of Monday’s convergence and said ….. wait for it …. Congratulations Gentlemen on your first victory of the day.
