-5:25 am Started with the Lord’s Prayer

-Warmed up with 30 side straddle hops F3 count.

-Did a roundabout mosey to the basketball court where the exploration began. In honor of the Dry Tortugas, pax lined up along the sidelines and crab crawled across the basketball court. This was followed up by mountain climbers (30 straight count) in honor of the many parks with mountains. Repeated once.

-The next journey involved a mosey to the track. In honor of my upcoming trip to Glacier NP, we did grizzly bear crawls. Pax traveled 4 laps around the track bear crawling the corners and running the straight-aways for 1 mile total distance.

-After a mosey back to the basketball court, 50 Chinook Squats (3 arm circles followed by a squat) were done in honor of the Chinook salmon that inhabit the Pacific Northwest parks.

-Yellowstone NP, the first National park in the world, is 151 years old this year. So we celebrated with:

30 big boy sit-ups

30 merkins

30 butt-kickers

30 vertical scissors F3 count

31 burpees

-With the time being 6:00 am, some bonus activities were performed:

Lunges around perimeter of court

Heel Taps 30 F3 count

Box Cutters 31 (cause the Q is 31 and wanted to do one more)

-Moseyed back to the Flag

Rotated through a few more exercises:

Shoulder taps 10

Crunches 10

Box Cutters 10

Side straddle hops 20 F3 count

-With 1 minute to go, and everyone saying how much they loved the burpees:

Burpees 3

-6:15 COT

Devotion: I spoke about my inspiration for the workout idea. I had the opportunity to go to the Grand Canyon last year during a dark season of my life and enjoy some solitude and reflection. It helped me see how big God is particularly in relation to my struggles. The pax were encouraged to find that time to get alone with God and remember that He is bigger than what we’re experiencing.

Keep the pax in prayer as some are going through tough times involving Covid and future plans.

Ended with pledge and prayer by Dirty Mike.

P.S. Thanks for the opportunity and all the support! I love this group and thankful for all the men who make it worthwhile to get up in the gloom.
