Warm up with a name-o-rama and some leg stretches while we waited for Evil and Pebbles to join us.
Variety was the name of the game today. Move down the hill towards Timberlane School Rd. The initial plan was to warm up with some hill sprints at the church then do the big loop. Due to the large number of pax and bad time management by the Q, we called an audible.
Hill sprints at the church parking lot. Did a variety of hill sprints. And by variety I mean at least once we ran up backwards.
Moved back down to the corner of Timberlane and did a long hill sprint up towards the cemetery. Mosey back down. Back down Timberlane School Rd. to the overpass where it was clear that we weren’t going to do the Big Loop in time. Stopped to do some merkins, crunches, and Katie Ledecky’s. Did them slow with attention to form.
Since we weren’t doing the big loop, we went back to the church parking lot for more hill sprints. Added some variety by making the fast guys chase the slow guys.
Back up the hill to the chain link fence before Gilchrist parking lot. PAX leaned against the fence to form the tunnel and we resurrected the Tunnel of Love.
Back to the flag for a horseshoe wind sprint topper. 2 reps.
COT: Prayers for Dimples’ Father-in-Law as his condition continues to deteriorate. Prayers also for Angus’ possible job decision. Pebbles is travelling again. Hondo might have crabs. Wham-O still has some screws loose.
FNG Joe Maleszewski was named Bad Chef. Recount reminded us about the Iron Pax challenge coming up 8/31.
