QIC is thankful for recently celebrating 22 years of marriage. It takes sacrifice.
This weekend, we should remember the sacrifice of those who died for their country. Take a moment of silence or say a prayer before you start eating your BBQ.
Phillipians 2: 3 – 8
For those history buffs, the city of Phillipi, in Northeastern Greece, was named after Philip II, the father of Alexander the Great. At the time of St. Paul’s letter to the Phillipians, which was written while Paul was in prison, the city was under Roman control and was the first Christian community in Europe.
3 Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves,
4 each looking out not for his own interests, but [also] everyone for those of others.
5 Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus,
6 Who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped.
7 Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance,
8 he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross.*
John 15: 12 – 13
12 This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.
13 No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
LD announced the semi-pro soccer game at Gene Cox Stadium tonight. He thanked Swanson and G-Mo (or was it GNR?) for helping with the soccer practice. LD reminded the group that Recount’s wife has waffles and coffee this morning at Ology. He also reminded about the Murph on Memorial Day and Wiseguy’s plans to donate $10 to Team Guardian for every Murph completed before noon.
Swanson is proud of his wife who had the K-1 room at the school she led named after her.
Sleepy woke up.
FNG Cody said he needed some TP.
Monty said it was nice to be back.
Visa congratulated the Rangers and is looking forward to his daughter’s graduation tonight. He also asked us to remember the 4 servicemen that went down in a helicopter in Leesburg recently.
Jefe is still the boss.
Tron is still bright.
Nobyl is celebrating his 15th wedding anniversary. He is being supportive of his wife that is starting a new job.
G-Mo talking about how he needed to be in sync with the scripture and put God before yourself.
Emcee’s mom is out of rehab and back in assistive living. His daughter is in the 18th Youth Leadership class which is coincidental to Mr. Emcee being in the 18th Tallahassee Leadership class.
Mr. Kotter talked about Romans 15:2 and that leadership is stepping up for others.
Mickey is still keeping the Southwood field the happiest place on earth.
Fruit-of-the-Loom has the Cascades Q tomorrow on Saturday.
Ron Swanson has the Southwood Q Tuesday for his birthday.
Murph on Monday at FAMU.
