PAX: Gameboy, Slawdog, Tastycakes, Willie, Carbon Copy, Houdini, Apache, War Eagle, Count, Big Gulp, Dirty Mike, Mensa, Psycho, Dimples
Q: Crab Legs
Warm up: Lord’s Prayer
Work: While God provided us with a beautiful, light rain, we got to work running east down Timberlane toward Trader Joe’s. Intermittent shake-n-bakes to keep us on our toes. Stopped at the bus ramp on our way out for a series of ‘Merkins.
Ran to the overpass, stopped and did some wall sits. Turned left at the eastbound I-10 offramp and headed toward McDonalds/Steak-N-Shake. In the gloriously clean Steak-N-Shake parking lot, we broke into groups of 5 for some ab work and sprints. We were interrrupted once by a truck full of women who apparently needed a McRib sandwich at 5:30 in the AM. Keep it classy, Tallahassee.
Back on the run over the interstate toward Starbucks. Ran behind Trader Joe’s and to the far edge of the parking lot to do some more sprints and core work. THis time one of Trader Joe’s employees decided he needed to interrupt us instead of driving around the other side.
Mosey with some Shake-n-bakes back to Gilchrist. Stopped along the way for some Monkey Humpers.
With the 10 minutes left, we sprinted the horseshoe with intermittent exercises in-between sprints.
COT: It was raining so the COT was somewhat brief. I had a funeral this past Sunday and, as funerals do, it made me stop and think about life. While I don’t enjoy funerals, as Big Gulp pointed out, they do make you stop taking life for granted. Don’t put off caring for the people closest to you. Have the conversation, express gratitude, tell someone you love them.
Mensa shared that he took his wife out to celebrate that she has now been with him for over 50.1% of her life.
Pledge
Prayer.
