Moseyed 1/2 mile Gilchrist Loop with weight
Then started the fun.
Each pax was given an extra coupon, front man held a 30# plate above head, second pax shouldered the most comfortable 50# sandbag known to man, third pax had 40# sand bag while farmer carrying a cindy, and last man had 45# sandbag. We set off for a loop around the bus ramp. Front man sets the pace, and if the plate has to come down from above their head everyone stops.
After first lap: 20 Squats
Another loop each pax rotating what weight they used previously.
After second lap: 20 Squats with a step up. Rotate weight
After third lap: 20 Squats with a step up followed by a burpee.
Another Lap. Rinsed and repeated above.
After two rounds of this (7 total laps) we did 20 weighted merkins. Followed by another 1/2 mile loop mosey with weight.
Done…
COT: Pax is well. Topic of discussion today came from the quote “You are a child of God, your playing small does not serve the world.” Something that I’ve focused on lately is not confusing being content as an excuse for not putting forth my best effort. God has given us gifts, skills, and blessings; use them to serve your family, community, and church. It is easy to be average, for this group it’s even easy to be good. Be great, stand out, don’t use the excuse of not wanting/needing “more” for not trying harder in your career, faith, and relationships. Swanson summed up my long winded ramble perfectly with just a few words. Be uncommon amongst the uncommon. Prayers for WG as he has some big life decisions on the horizon.
