8 HIMs said pooey to Spring Break fartsacking and met on a glorious spring morning to make each other stronger.
Q: Peter Pan
Pax: Houdini, Private Ryan, Count, Shooter McGavin, Oregon Trail, Guns N Roses, Pebbles
The Thang:
The brisk 50 degree weather dictated lots of travel
Let It All Hang Out: Imperial Walkers, Frankensteins, SSH
Polk Salad Annie: favorite assisted living facility stretches, SSH
Quick rinse and on the hop to Forestmeadows playground for 10 pullups
Karaoke to ravine, run to back baseball field: crabcrawl to 1st base; bear crawl to 2nd; duckwalk or lunge to 3rd; sprint home. Line up on 1st base line for 7 burpees then sprint to outfield fence; 14 LCRC then sprint back to 1st base line; 21 merkins, sprint to outfield; 28 round robin boxcutters, sprint to 1st base line.
Mosey through woods to rockpile hill: frog hop up, CSAUP epic fail (see title above) ceased by Q after half way down hill and a chorus of grumbling; frog hop up, regular sniper crawl down
Mosey to field house: alternating wall sits and hand stands while Pax took turns running around building. 4 quick turns was too much for GNR to navigate and he drifted away.
Line up at goal line: db to midfield, sprint to opposite goal line; turn around and repeat; full sprint length of field
Mosey to flag for 3 minute round robin ab work.
Finished: Great push by all!
COT:
Peter Pan: thankful for Pax and another wonderful morning at the Meadows
Houdini: reminded us to stay in touch with family and work on communicating effectively with spouse
Private Ryan: taking extra shift at work Saturday (Count questioned whether that was to avoid family)
Count: had quality ocean time with son playing duck or jump and hanging ten on boogie board. Footnote: Q urges you all to spend time with kids, they’ll be grown and gone faster than you can believe.
Shooter: Appreciated Q admitting failed CSAUP exercise and aborting; says some Q’s too stubborn to do that (no one specifically named, Jugs) Footnote: due to his advanced age Q has experienced more failure than most, so recognizes it quicker.
Oregon Trail: practicing Lent, urges us to strengthen our faith as we see fit
GNR: glad to have old guys at F3, appreciates their effort
Pebbles: making loads of $, can’t process all the business. I think he said he would pick up beer tab at next F2, not sure, don’t wear my hearing aids at F3.
Prayer: Oregon Trail (excellent with a Greek Orthodox undertone)
Pledge of Allegiance: All
Everyone enjoy the weekend and hope your team advances to the Sweet Sixteen. Go Noles!!
