“Tricks and Treats at F3”

The Thang:
Trick – I lied in the backblast. More accurately, I changed my mind at the last second. No travel became travel.
We started at the flag and did the small loops with 11 stops.
I announced an exercise at each stop. You kept on going until I said stop. Then we moved to the next stop.
Trick – I did not announce the number of reps prior to the start. Fear not the rep count. Just shut up and get it done.
Stops:
- 121 side straddle hops (F3 count)
- 1 8-count bodybuilder
- 100 over-the-fence
- 4 jump squats
- 81 flutter kicks (F3 count)
- 9 burpees
- 64 merkins
- 49 situps
- 16 overhead press (with sandbag)
- 36 squats (touching the bench)
- 25 pullups
Debrief:
- I wanted to break the unofficial record of most number of SSHs in the warmup. Then I came up with the idea of the squared numbers so that I can remember what we did and keep everyone on their toes.
- 100+ reps of anything can be very hard. I am still not a true believer of SSHs and planks, but I think there are better exercises out there that serve the same purpose. The SSHs were only present just to break the unofficial record. You won’t see these much in my workouts in the future.
COT:
- Florence gave a good Man Guy impression. I forgot to record it. My bad.
- C-Note will be sending information about a PAX at another F3 chapter who recently committed suicide. There will be a commemorative ruck and you may be able to get a patch as well.
- Fish reminded us of the Inaugural F5 at Leon this Sunday!
