You know you have a reputation when no one is surprised you didn’t show up. When 0518 rolled around, YHC went ahead and claimed the Q. And by 0524 it was basically a sure thing. He’s in danger of getting a nickname change to “no show”.

The Thang

We took a short mosey over to the hill by the bus ramp. It was dark and the fog was settling in but everyone was in good spirits. Still no Hawkeye.

Pax were instructed to line up shoulder to shoulder facing the hill.

For this routine we did Descending Ladder. 1 exercise at the bottom and 1 at the top, traveling the hill in between.

Starting at 10 reps we worked our way down to 1, and then back up again.

The exercises were:

• Merkins
• Squats (at the top)

Pax stayed together.

Once we completed the descending ladder and then ascending ladder, we took another short mosey over to the wolf statue.

Descending ladder, again.

The exercises were:

• Incline Merkin (Irkin)
• Box Jumps
• Decline Merkin (Derkin)

We went from 10 to 1, but since we didn’t have time to go back up the ladder we ended with 10 reps instead of 1.

Mosey back to the start. Still no Hawkeye. At this point I was pretty sure he wasn’t going to make it.

YHC gave a teaser for the morning’s Qsource discussion — The Shieldlock. Men are stronger in numbers, when you have accountability, and you can trust the man next to you. Hedge your valley against his peak.

Hot guy needs a new alarm clock for christmas, Psycho is back and still nursing some knee / hip issues, Iron Horse’s friend who lost their spouse has found someone, Rev got the run around by Home Depot, Pineapple’s friend has cancer, OT’s wife made it safely to be with the new baby.

Glad I could be there to lead the men this morning. Always love the opportunity to jump in on the fly.
