QIC: C-NOTE
The PAX: Geronimo, Speedo, Vin Diesel, Napoli, Crab Legs, Czech Mate, Guns N Roses, Rico Suave, Shooter McGavin.
The above mentioned double-digit HIMs, arrived in the chilly pre-dawn gloom, to be held accountable for themselves and each other, and make the man next to him, better.
*It took QIC a couple of times to figure out, if he placed his sneaker on the bench to tie them, every PAX’s water bottle, would subsequently fall over.
Lord’s Prayer
Warm-up: Frankensteins OYO, IWs x 20, Grady Corns x 20, SSH x 20. Followed by 1/4 mile Capri Lap to get the juices flowing.
The Thang: Pax started with 7 of Diamonds routine. 4 barely visible cones spread out across football field in rectangular fashion. On QIC “Go,” PAX sprint to 1st cone, 7 burpees, sprint to 2nd cone, 7 burpees, sprint to 3rd cone, 7 burpees, sprint “home cone” 7 burpees. RINSE.
Next round is 14 reps of 4 count flutter kicks, at each cone. RINSE, REPEAT
21 merkins, at each cone. RINSE, REPEAT.
28 squats at each cone. RINSE and DONE.
(It s/b noted, the PAX overwhelmingly modified the field for the QIC, so that all exercises were conducted on the track, vice a chilly wet field. QIC agreed, and made the rather small rectangle significantly larger by bringing cones across the field, thereby increasing sprinting distances for all.)
Next routine introduced to the PAX was the “Hey, Watch iis!” routine.
All PAX circled up, QIC instructed PAX, that he would start the routine by stating in his best southern accent, “Hey Watch iis!” and perform one rep of an exercise of his choice. At the completion of the rep, the next words are, “Bet chew can’t do 10 (or any quantity).” Then all PAX do the requested number of reps. The routine then follows the next PAX in clockwise fashion, until all PAX get to talk “Southern.” Some very good accents were demonstrated on this morning, especially those attempted by Napoli and Czech Mate. Though challenging, there were lots of chuckles and giggles while all of this was going on, which certainly contributed to a “holiday type atmosphere.”
COT: All PAX seemed to enjoy the challenge and the fun of the Q and looking forward to the holiday week with their families. QIC mentioned a challenging time for his daughter, who is travelling back to Tampa area today for a memorial for her 21 year old ex-boyfriend, who was killed in October in a motorcycle accident. Geronimo will be travelling also and mentioned it is good to be “reflective” on all things that we are blessed with these days. Speedo (also travelling) appreciated the opportunity to use a southern accent as he has not been used to it. Vin Diesel is having a good day and explained all days are good when school is not in session. Napoli travelling to Miami to be w family for the holidays. Crab Legs travelling to Clemson to be laughed at, and to be with family over the holidays. For Czech Mate, this is his 1st Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, and his family will be spending time w a family who invited them over for the holiday. Guns N Roses will be going to Hawaii for the 1st time w his wife for the holidays and is looking forward to hooking up w F3-Oahu while he is there. Ricco shared his Pastor’s words that we should be thankful for everything we have, not just what we may be thankful for within the past few days or weeks.
