“The Telephone Drill”

Wiseguy Warmup (parking lot):
Jog
Backpedal
Shuffle
Carioca
High-knees
Butt kicks
Skips

Hip circles
The Telephone Drill
Two lines are formed. A large telephone keypad was drawn on the parking lot.
The person behind the runner will call out either a set of numbers or a word. At each number or letter, PAX does a particular exercise and then moves on to the next number or letter. If there is a repeat (i.e. 882), just repeat the exercise at the repeat. After completion, PAX ran a lap around the parking lot.
Round 1: 3 numbers + pushup at each number
Round 2: 4-letter word + pushup at each letter
Round 3: 5 numbers + burpee at each number
Round 4: 5-letter word + burpee at each letter
Round 5: 5-letter word + run to the letters, get onto a plank at the first letter, bear crawl to the remainder of the letters, then run the lap.
Debrief:
Agility is not just about speed. It is also about knowing where you are in space and time. Additionally, this drill adds the component of memory to the game. There were some Alzheimer moments occurring within the masses.
There was an additional complexity of having two people go at once. You had to avoid the other person. Thankfully, no one crashed into each other during this workout.
I’ll leave it to your imagination of what words were picked.
