The Thang:
Warmup: Arm circles, 25 SSH, jog high knees 20 yards, jog butt kickers 20 more, karaoke back switching directions, Frankenstein walk, inch worms, and bear crawl.
Partnered up- Here is where the WTFs started.
18 yard – Wheelbarrow hand walk while partner squats and duck walks, the person walking on their hands keeps their feet on the squatting partners thighs no hands allowed by squatting partner. Switch sides and repeat back.
18 reps – Partner overhead planking sit-ups. First guy on his six legs straight out and arms straight up to the sky, the partner puts his hands by the first guys feet and puts his feet where the first guy can hold his feet above him. Then simultaneously the bottom partner does a sit-up and keeps the other guys legs over head while the planking partner does a pike. As awkward as these sound it is far more awkward to do. Good thing it was dark because of it hadn’t been we probably wouldn’t be able to look each other in the eyes after that. Switch and repeat
18 reps – 1st guy on his back and his partner stands above his head and squats. 1st guy kicks his legs up and the squatting partner throws his legs to each side in a 4 count exercise. Switch and repeat
Mosey to the clubhouse
Several minutes of wall sits broken up with legs on the wall inverted mt climbers. First set of mt climbers was 5 with a 4 count, then 4, 3, for 2 and 1 we did a ten count of inverted mt climbers.
Everyone enjoyed the inverted mt climbers so much I turned it into a partner exercise. On the field both partners on their knees facing away from each other and feet touching. Both put their heads on the ground and support with their arms. The partners then lift their legs one at a time to the point where they make an A frame with each other. This proved to be very difficult Pebbles and I managed to get to the A frame position but never could pull off any mt climbers since we kept falling over. We worked on this for a couple minutes before returning to the wall.
Back at the wall, we sat some more while we took turns sprinting to midfield and back.
Ab work on the end line:
5 – LCRC V ups.
18 – horses on your back planks in a crunchy frog motion but with full extension.
39- crunches.
Mosey to midfield.
21 plank up downs very slow long hold between counts.
Backward bear to 18 yard box.
Forward bear to midfield.
Inchworm with frog jump to 18 yard box.
Crab walk to midfield.
Frog jump to the 18.
Duck walk to the end line.
TapOuts fast feet in place followed by dropping to the ground and popping back up. 21 drops in total on the final one we popped up and sprinted to the 18.
Mosey back to flag for topper.
Pulled some poles out of my truck for some floppies (burpees with no hands) your arms are wrapped around a pole that is behind you immobilizing your arms. Wish I had the camera out for this, getting down wasn’t too bad but trying to get up we looked like a bunch of fish out of water flapping around trying to figure out how to do it.
COT: Willie shared how his wife has been making a lot of sandwiches and taking them to hurricane victims and how much that has grown with lots and lots of ppl pinching in and donating. Also discussed the need to make sure we don’t stop helping because the media is already moved on but it will be a very long time before their lives will begin to have any since of normalcy.
